What are some traditional grooming products that are no longer in production?

Ipana toothpaste: http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=ipan...&first=106. I remember my dad joking about an "Ipana smile" when I was growing up.

Colgate and RapidShave shave creams: http://www.brandlandusa.com/2009/02/05/m...ream-gone/. I think it was RapidShave that Mickey Mantle once endorsed.

Burma Shave brushless shaving cream http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burma-Shave. Ironically, the brand was re-introduced in 1997 as a puck of soap to be used with a brush.

Hai Karate After Shave. I loved the yellow-orange color formulation, the green color formulation not so much. I wore this on hot dates in high school in the early 70s. Because of zits, I only got to wear aftershave on special occasions. It wasn't until I got some DR Harris Sandalwood Aftershave about a year ago that I identified the Hai Karate scent as sandalwood.

When exactly was the Colgate shaving cream discontinued? It just shows what you miss when you no longer shop in drug stores for shaving supplies. I honestly did not notice that it was gone.

Yeah, that is sad. Colgate was my first shave cream some 15 years ago, the one in the orange can...

Cade aftershave. The liquid not the new balm.

I love the scent but the balm could have been better... I still use it however. Lol.

Then there are the products that are still being produced but that can no longer be imported (legally) into the United States such as:

Palmolive Shaving Cream

Palmolive Shaving Stick.

Don't be surprised to learn that the Feather DX folding teak scales model will go the same way. The wood accented models of their razors are typically for special editions.

My dad's aftershave. Scent-memory; I would have liked to try it.

My understanding is that the FDA does not like the coloring agent.

Which reminds me...Taylor of Old Bond Street Shampoos and Shower Gels can be sold in 49 states but not in California. <sigh>
