I know Aldo must be extreamly busy with LE brushes and waitlist brushes. Has anyone received any lately?

I got on the list for a Ranger on September 19, and on November 23 Aldo advised me that I was number 49.   I don't email Aldo for updates because for a small enterprise like his, responding to numerous emails is burdensome and consumes production time.  I'd rather see Aldo making brushes than responding to a flood of emails.  I figure he'll get to my brush eventually.

I was #15 on the list for a beehive when last I talked to him a month ago, started out somewhere around #40 at the end of August last year I believe. He is gaining ground! I can only imagine how long it takes to produce a single brush when its done soup to nuts as 1 man operation.

I'm no.1 on the beehive list. Patiently waiting as I respect Aldo's work and know it'll be worth it.

Want to get on the list when he's ready but I figure I will still need a brush from him in a year or two. I'll wait.

So I'm kinda in the dark as far as the VARLET goes. Can someone explain what they are like or relation to another brush?

Fellowship of cold water shavers

Completely US handmade brushes by 1 man named Aldo. He uses an alumilite resin that can withstand a hammer on concrete and hand ties his knows as well. Looking forward to trying one myself

Also... No damn glue bumps!

Uses finest hair, backbone is medium to medium low, but softness and lather release is topnotch.

Very good to know. I'm a big fan of backbone so that kind of helps me rule this one out.

I feel like I should qualify my statement. Medium backbone  as say compared to a chubby. But more than say a Plisson synthetic.

A smudge less backbone than  say a Envy white, bit significantly more density than the envy white.

A smudge more backbone than the  2015 LE paladin with the Lee sabini knots.

Again. No glue bump!

On my phone so apologies for any typos.

I emailed Aldo the other day and he said I was #3 on the Beehive list and #16 for an Orion. I can wait and am in absolutely no hurry. Good things come to those who patiently wait.

I will have a batch of Orions and Megas ready in the next couple of days! There might be a beehive or two in there also. Working on 'em gents.
