Hi Guys and Ladies. Phil introduced me to The Shave Nook recently. I'm a long-time member of SMF and B&B. I'm enjoying everything I've seen here and I'm seeing lots and lots of familiar names. I'm a DE guy, but Phil lured me into trying straights with his special offer on the beginnier Fromm razor. It's on its way back from being honed by Bong. It might be a while before I get around to trying it.

Best regards to everyone.

Dave T

Hello Dave T, and welcome aboard.

I would think most West Virginians would be up at Camp Washington-Carver right now at the string band festival...

Mind if I ask where in the mountain state? My Better Half was born and raised in Charleston before we got married and she moved over here Biggrin

Hi, Hans. I'm in Charleston. I was born and raised in Spencer and spent a good amount of time in Morgantown. I haven't made it to the String Band Festival yet.

Small world indeed... WV is beautiful though, once you get outside of downtown Charleston. Last we visited the inlaws over we went down to New River Gorge, drove up along Droop Mountain and spend half a day in Beartown State Park... which she hadn't heard about before despite growing up in the state.

As for Charleston, I'm most familiar with parts of the east end - State Capitol (which has a very nice dome, even better now that it's been restored), the Cultural Center and into the Historic District.

If you're ever in Norway Dave, drop by for a drink Biggrin

I love the pictures I've seen of Norway and what I've read about it. I like the Stieg Larsson books, and Jo Nesbo. I just got "Snowman" Sunday. I'd love to visit sometime.

Hans,

I live in the East End on Maxwell Street and walk to work at the Capitol.
