I dont know why, but seems my last few shaves with OC heads seem to give me a less irratation shave than SB. I dont mean razor burn, but my ingrown hairs on my neck seem to be way down using OC. I dont know the logic or why this would be. Anyone experience this with OC?

I would classify my skin as sensitive due to the nature that is seems very prone to nicks and on the lower part of my neck, it is a bit inclined to get ingrown hairs. I used the R41 and like it because I can remove most of the growth on pass one. It feels nice to get the neck just about there after the initial pass which is against the grain. Which OC have you been using?

Like Zac, my neck is sensitive and I also prefer an aggressive razor (ATT H1). I tried the open-comb version (H2), but it was a touch more than I needed as a 4-pass daily driver.

I have sensitive skin as well. I can't use scents and I got ingrown hairs before I started using a DE. I still get them on occasion, but not nearly as often. I do a 2 pass WTG shave with either an ATT m2 or Wolfman OC. I find OCs to be much smoother than SBs.

I've found the Merkur 41c "1904" to be a very mild OC razor. I've never had any irritation from it.

I prefer OCDEs to SBDEs (the Rockwell being an exception).  Heads with a significant blade gap are difficult to use on my uneven skin (scar tissue and other assorted bumps).  Many OC heads have little or no blade gap.  In some cases the blade lies flat on the comb.  I think this characteristic is why many shaver enjoy OCs.

Same here but I never gave OC's more attention, I thought they would be harsher than SB's. Sounds like I really need to explore OC's more.

+1. I'm on the wait list (another list) for the Razorock Old Type, and am debating the Maggard OC v2. That's the max I'd spend to experiment with these things.
