Evening all,

I'm new to the Nook but not to the world of 'traditional' wet shaving. After discovering all this about five years ago I became a convert and, possibly, a bit of a zealot. Eventually, as I wasn't getting the kind of results I believed I should have been getting, I gave up and returned to the murky world of the cartridge. Now, after about a four year absence I'm giving this whole thing another go but this time I'm hoping things will be different.

Over the intervening years my shaves have improved so it seems I must have learned something first time around. My den has been sold off over time and I only have a few things left. This has been partly to raise funds but also to reduce distractions. I no longer have the amount of disposable income that I had before but I think that might actually work in my favour as it will force me to concentrate on the thing that matters most. Technique.

My razor of choice this time is the Krona. I prefer slightly longer handles and even though I've owned some of the best razors there are at one time or another I have a feeling that the Krona might suit me better. I have a reasonable selection of blades to get me started and my brush should be arriving any day now. I might be forced to sell the only other DE I have left (a gillette slim adjustable, the only one to survive the den purge) to finance a few decent creams and maybe an ASB and then I will be well and truly ready.

Well, here we go again...
