Nothing wrong with a KC razor I am sure but some of us (maybe more then just a few) have a tendency to keep buying and selling. As new razors (like toys) appear we "got to have it" but then "novelty wears off"

Right now there are a lot of options for SE razors using the Feather AC blades. The ATT SE1 and the 2nd generation Mongoose  are available for immediate shipping, no waiting lists or drama. The new Asylum Rx from Bullgoose is supposed to be out by the end of the month, and prototype reviews have been positive. The Rx head bears at least a superficial resemblance to the Cobra.

In addition, there are a couple of others in various stages of development.

The Cobras are fine razors (I love my Classic) but right now they're old news, and some people have to have the latest and greatest.

I just saw on another forum that TSN member rlacrossjr posted the following:

"Emailed classic shaving and they said this.
Unfortunately, we do not carry or offer replacement parts for the King Cobra, nor do we have any current plans to carry the King Cobra or restock it.

It would not be the first time Classic Shaving customer service gave out some bad intel but, if true, it seems this is the end of an era and Mongoose, ATT and Phil's Rx are the new torch bearers.

P.S. I think this answers inspectoring's question about what is wrong with the King Cobra: deceased.

No, I'm not in the know these days regarding Classic.
It's interesting IMO regarding new ownership; time will tell, I guess.

Razormakers with limited production and increased demand have drama. Razormakers who may or may not be out of business give us serial cliffhangers. I'll take live performances.

If anything is certain in this industry it's uncertainty. If you find something you love listen to Janis Joplin " get it while you can".

I sent them off an email just to confirm. I'm glad that Phil is going to fill the void with his ne se razor - as his model looks to be very promising.

Until I get a chance to use his in my opinion  King cobra is the best razor I have used so far
