Close-ish, yes. A place guys (and gals) can get together and let the world pass by.

The article was well worth a read, and it brought back found memories of the Indians I served with on 'my' Team Site in South Sudan. Thank you Smile

The barbershops in America used to be that way - a place to gather socially.  Today with our busy pace we don't socialize like that anymore with the exception of say bars or places like the VFW.

The barber shop I go to is a barber shop geared really towards men.  All of the barbers are older men, hunting and car magazines on the tables, and usually classic rock in the background - not loud but more background noise.

If you are there on Saturday morning when it is busy usually the people waiting are talking as much to the barbers as the person in the chair.

Something that just seems to be lacking anymore and I hope technology doesn't change it for the Indians either.
