35 in the cabinet and a few that I haven't even opened yet and have had for a few years.

Oh, and I'm sorta feelin' guilty about having all of them. I just don't use them very often since having my own made. I once had someone accuse me of, "If your stuff is so good why do you use other products!?" or some such. I think he was looking in the archives, because since my own came on  line 99.99% of my shaves are with mine and I don't post a SOTD anymore because it would read pretty much the same every day... BORING! I could empty out the cabinet and not miss not having them. But every once in a while my mind overpowers my hand and I reach for brand x.

Tried and have are two different fish. Finding one's personal Library, or cellar of products takes a few years to sort through a lot of products and suprises both pleasant and not. Then everyone will experience a favorite being discontinued or worse, reformulated. What I have; is MWF, PdP, SdM, Brutalt Bra and Dusy
Kabinette ( discontinued- this is my vintage bottle of Lagavulin inherited unopened from an uncle who bought it in 1948. I've had exactly 3 shots). What I've tried looks like a 7-11 after a California earthquake. What I will try depends on various astronomical omens observed by the local witch: except she is another patchouli user and I use a modified Christian prayer when our shadows cross 'get downwind of me thou corrupt and foul creature' . So it's all a suprise.

I've probably tried 100+ and am down to about 10 favorites.  Every time I tell myself no more soaps, I see one I'd like to try.  LoL.

I am quite surprised how many products one has to try, before finding some favorites. When I get into a hobby, I want the "best" within my reach. Obviously my shaving experience so far, has been quite expensive -  with some hits and a lot of misses, but I am enjoying the fine products and nice scents- and i will never go back to the old electric shaver.

After a year i have narrowed my rotation down to 4, that all works very well.

But there are new products coming all the time, that I have to try...  Wink

I tend to have Mike's, CRSW, and Reef Point in constant rotation. I have a few others, but those are my mainstays.

I have no list, but recently made a count - 281 shaving soaps and shaving creams, and that was after getting rid of 40-50  Blush

I try to mainly buy soaps now, because my creams dry up because they get very little usage with the number of products I have in my rotation.

2011 was where I really started getting into shaving creams, and then in 2013-2014 I started to slowly focus more on shaving soaps.

Holy Cow!

You have a serious den Claus!

If I where to have room for that number of products, I'd have to toss some of my wife's shoes out... Smile

I really see this as who has done more or bragging rights!!!  LOL!

I have hardly seen 1/3 of that.  I researched and read others experiences and we have a local shave meet every 3-4 months and do some horse trading at times but my soaps are mainly as follows:

MWF- Simply could do this one daily and never look back.
Stone Fox- Fairly new addition but have three of their flavors you might say.
Proraso- Both the green tub and white and the white is my favorite and could also easily be a one and done.
Musgo Real- In lavender scent.
Godrej- Given to me and a nice scent for sure in a warm scuttle.
Arko stick- Hey, it's a urinal cake smell < freshly placed that is and a great stick!
La Toja stick- Ehhhhh, can live without it!
Provence Santé Shaving Soap Verlaine- Took a few times but growing on me.
Mama Bear- Honeysuckle scented..............call me a push over for that scent but it is primo!

I have tried a few others but they have never returned!  It is evident and for that reason I have failed to mention them here.  But we are talking maybe 4-5 others.

My list is short as you can see but unless something just strikes me, I am happy with the above and could even subtract a few from it and still be happy.

My marriage is worth more to me than a detailed list which will infuriate the Mrs.
I was up to 65 "in house" prior to the purge.
Down to 6.
Still married...
