It's a 1912 in bakelite case.

I'm looking forward to trying it!

Thank you, gentlemen!

I am waiting for the blades. I ordered them a few days ago. Hopefully I will receive them by the end of the week.

As you can see, it came with five vintage Ever Ready blades, but I'm not going to use them.

Did you order the GEM Personna stainless steel PTFE coated blades? Man, those are smooth shaving SE blades.

Exactly, Bob! I ordered 200 of them from Connaught. I want to try them with the OneBlade also to see how they perform, that's why I ordered so many, in case I like them. Many gentlemen have great experience with these.

I got a 1912 - definitely user-grade; all plating worn off - and it's a lovely shaver... more finicky on the angle than a Schick injector, but far more forgiving than a 1914. I think you'll enjoy it, and I too find the GEMs with PTFE coating to work a dream in it (as they does in my 1914 and Micromatic Clug Pruf)

Looks similar to the one I got in the mail today.  I have a Gem MMOC that I enjoy so I'm really looking forward to trying the ER12.

My 2nd Ever Ready 1912. This one is British made. I found it on Ebay, I was the only bidder and, as you can imagine, the price was pretty fair.

They look great. How do they shave; comparable to any specific vintage Gillette? Better / Worse?

Thank you, gentlemen!

I can't compare it to the other Gillette models I've tried. They are just different razors, SE and DE. I prefer using my SEs, others will say that specific vintage Gillette models shave better than any other razor. It's a matter of preference after all. The 1912 is a mild and effective razor that I really like. I don't use it often because I have many razors, but it's a must have. Give it a try, if you haven't already. It's not difficult to find it.
