Need a little help. I recently picked up this cased Gillette. I have seen many versions but this one is new to me. The case is a clam shell style but very flat, the base plate is clear plastic. Likely from the mid to late sixties however, I have never see one like this before. Does anyone have any info on this model? The instructions appear to be in Italian.

Mr-Razor shows a couple of similar ones.

First, there is a French set from 1968 with the same style case (but different color) and a metal baseplate:[Image: 1968%20French%20Tech%20Set%20N2.jpg]

Then there is this 1970's German set which has the lucite baseplate but a different color handle:

In both cases, he lists the razor as German-made.

So... late 60's/early 70's vintage German-made Tech for the Italian market?

I think you are correct.  My gut is that this was made in the late 60's in Germany for the Italian market.  Here is a similar one made for the French market.  It is dated as 68.  The second picture is a "Plastic Tech" made for the German Market.  You can see the similarities in the handle and plastic baseplate.  They also included Super Silvers in the package.

Well, it looks like great minds think alike.  I was posting as you posted the same pics.  Sorry for the duplication.

Imagine, that razor was made by a Berlin based company while the Wall was still standing; Wall's gone, razor's here.
