D. R. Harris Rose Luxury Shaving Cream, or Geo. F. Trumper Rose Soft Shaving Cream?

I'm hooked on rose scent now. Use Rosewater as aftershave, and figure I should get some rose cream or soap as well. Have been using with an unscented soap mostly.

Any rose aficionados out there?

I haven't tried those, but I like T&H Rose cream.

The only other rose soaps I have tried are out of production.  I need to get through some of my current stock before I buy anything else.

I highly recommend Jabonman Rosas balm and soap or Rosa Bourbon if you don't mind spending a little more on it.  The balm is the best balm I've ever tried (and I may never have if it wasn't for a very generous member!) and the scent on both soaps is a very natural rose.  I prefer the Rosa Bourbon myself but it is more than double the price of the regular Rosas which is very nice so it is hard to say the extra money is worth it but value is something we all have our own opinions on. I also enjoy La Pere Lucien Rose de Pushkar a lot.  If you went for any of these I don't think you'd be disappointed.

If you're into English creams, why not trying the Vulfix English Rose? It has an amazing natural rose scent and its performance is on par with the other premium English shaving creams.

About good performing rose scented soaps, a good suggestion would be to try the Le Pere Lucien Rose de Pushkar. But keep in mind that it contains cinnamon oil that sweetens the scent, it's not a straight rose scent, in my opinion.

Where is the best place to get Rosa Bourbon?  I haven't heard of it before.  Sounds wonderful!

If I can make a suggestion outside of the two OP choices. Get your hands on some Klar Kabinett, Dusy Kabinett, or even Czech & Speake No. 88, and you'll be sitting pretty...or Rosy. (My favorites)  Biggrin

Not too much Kabinett around anymore, sadly.  I never got a chance to try it.  But, I know I couldn't go wrong with Czech & Speake.

These sound interesting.  Difficult to get Vulfix English Rose here in Canada, but my British relative is coming over for a visit in the autumn, so I may get them to bring one over.  Le Pere Lucien might be just what I'm looking for.  I love cinnamon.

I've been eyeing some C&S 88. I've been working on some Simpson's vanilla and rose cream lately and it's a nice cream and a very nice scent.  Trumper's Rose was one of my first soaps and it wasn't bad either.

I'm always learning when I read ShaveNook!

Now, if I can polish up on my German (it is German, right?) I can probably place an order with this company.

I've found rose intoxicating, but you need to 'come up for air' and rotate it or burn out. You might lookinto many rose scented body soaps such as PdP and Harris Pink AS or Bulgarian Rosewater. My caveat again; this is like having chocolate milk with a bag of Hershey kisses for lunch every day.

I was fortunate to have a German address for them to ship it to. They do NOT ship to the US. (This company doesn't anyway)

and they make the Pink aftershave.  Sounds like a fine combo.  I like a light aftershave in the summer and early autumn.

Very good point.  I'm not there yet, but I know I will be.

I was using lime every day a while back, but have gone right off it.  Probably won't use it again until next spring.

I figure the cooler weather will start in October, and then it's time for some new scents.

I also like Cyril R Salter Wild Rose. It seems to have a more natural scent than the two you mentioned.

I rotated between Dusy/C&S88/Klar everyday in May. Finished my shaves first with Thayer's Rose Witch Hazel then either DRH Pink, St. Charles Bulgarian Rose or Penhaligon's The Hammam. You can never have too much Rose...  Love
