I'm ready to try a slant. My love of the iKon 101 is leading me back to the brand for a slant. Can someone direct me to a thread that details the similarities and differences between the iKon Shavecraft 102 and the X3?

If such a thread doesn't exist, your erudite musings will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, thank you. I've seen the thread. I was hoping to find something more definitive re: specs and other technical info. In terms of similarities and differences, the thread is a bit light.

Charlie:

The Shavecraft 102 is not a slant in the typical use of the word, as it does not torque the blade at all.  It just TILTS the blade.  The same effect can easily be achieved with a standard razor by either tilting it slightly or by doing the "Gillette slide" (moving the razor at an angle while holding the blade straight).

So, I'd say the principal significant difference between the two razors is that the X3 is an actual slant razor, while the 102 is not.  I can't help you with other specs such as blade gaps, weights, etc, but perhaps others can.

Y'see, that's what I'm looking for! Thanks kingfisher Smile

I use the Gillette Slide frequently, so the 102 likely isn't what I want. X3 may be calling my name!

It's not like getting both would break the bank. They shave a little differently and both outstanding. Get your feet wet.
