I'm relatively new to DE shaving (about nine months), and have been lurking here on the board for a while and so decided to sign up and introduce myself. After many years of using electric razors and Gillette multi-blade razors I decided to give DE shaving a try and really enjoy it. I'm using a Gillette Super Speed blue tip (late 1950s) which I really like, as well as a Simpsons Case brush. The Case works well as a travel brush, but I wanted something with a little larger handle so just ordered a Simpsons Colonel X2L in best badger that is on the way (along with a tub of T&H West Indian Limes cream).  I've got a feeling that this brush acquisition business could be hard to stop once it gets going.  A lot like vintage fountain pens, which are a bit of an obsession with me.

I am fortunate in that my work takes me to London every month, and so have been able to stop in at Truefitt & Hill, Geo F Trumpers and DR Harris and pick up a few things. Given the current exchange rate, shopping in the UK has gotten a lot more attractive and I am thinking that perhaps I should pick up a new brush on my next trip there. Would appreciate any thoughts on the best places to shop for brushes in London.

Also have given some thought to getting a shave at T&H or one of the other shops next month when I am in London.  Looks like it would be a great experience (albeit expensive).

Thanks for all the great information on this site. It's made my journey into DE shaving much easier.
