I recently acquired two units and have  realized that the only reason why they were being sold was because they were too aggressive. When I tried the units with the razor blades that came with it, i.e. feather professional-I realize they were right. The shave  was absolutely horrible for me. But when I used it with try-a-blade pack - the experience was completely different and nowI'm in love with this razor.

I'm just writing this so that you don't prematurely sell a fantastic piece of equipment and give it the chance it deserves. I urge you to try different blades before you decide to part with it.

This is one of the big selling points of all razors using the Artist Club type blades - the Cobras, Mongoose, ATT SE1, General, with more to come. The blade choices, from the Kai mild to the Feather Pro Super, have a wide range of aggressiveness and make it almost like having an adjustable razor. I love my Cobra Classic and SE1.

Kai Mild blades are real smooth and less aggressive, so for those giving this razor a first try I'd recommend that.  I  used a Feather Pro with my Classic Cobra today and had a PERFECT shave.  Really amazing.  Once you get the touch right with a cobra it just gets better and better.

I find the KAI Mild Guard blade to be the mildest of all these type of blades. Anyone who finds these razors too aggressive I highly recommend you try a KAI Mild Guard blade. It is the mildest by far.

I wasn't impressed with the build quality. It shaved OK, but not great.

I concur, I may have had my hopes too high though. I prefer my CJB and Greager anyways.
