I have come to the conclusion that my skin and preference for certain gear doesn't lend itself to shaving with only a day or 2 worth of facial hair growth. It just doesn't seem to be as nice of a shave unless I have 3 or 4 days of growth. Visually, my beard comes in fast enough that I should shave everyday if I wanted to look facial hair free everyday but I like tearing down the start of a beard with a nice aggressive razor. I used to like slants as they felt like they were appropriate for my beard and shaving daily, back to back no issues. The other thing I don't enjoy as much is face lathering with badger brushes without a good amount of facial hair.

Any prefer to shave multiple days growth rather than daily shave for whatever reason?

It does shave differently if I wait a few days,  for that I prefer other razors then normally. But I'm on the opposite side of the universe, I shave twice a day.

Men's attire has devolved into a backasswards baseball cap, T Shirt with some beer logo or vacation spot in Alaska, cargo pants and flip flops or $400 sneakers. Add in poor grooming and the nation's emasculation and dumbing down to servient, unwashed masses is fait accompli. Monday is Labor Day, chosen to avoid MAY DAY commemorations of past violence against organised
Labor, Anarchists and Socialists.
Real revolutionaries shave daily and wear ties; poseurs beards and berets.

I have shaved daily for the last 45 odd years. After I retired and got more into this hobby which improved my lathering and shaving techniques I also shave twice daily with either straight razors or DEs/SEs. I normally do a 4 pass shave around 0400-0500 and a 3 pass shave around noon. I guess it just depends on how sensitive your face is, how fast your beard growth is and how good your technique is. All you can do is what works for you and you are satisfied with.

Wow Bob that's impressive.  I can do daily but my Sunday shave after a day off is my favorite.

Well, not really it is just my face can handle it. I have a friend that does a single pass shave daily and that is all his skin can handle. Each to their own.

Yep, I'm with Tappan. The shave after a day off is always a good one.

Yep, those are always my favorite too! Sometimes I can get away with it, but if there's an important meeting at work or something... I generally try to shave every other day to account for that.

I can shave every day, but I can only shave with the grain. I do either 1or 2 passes depending on how my face feels. I also have to bowl leather. I like to face lather, but it irritates my skin. I had to skip a day when I used cartridges.

I can shave everyday but it would only require 1-2 light passes so I choose to go every other day.

I generally do a 4-pass shave daily, but skip at least one weekend day just to get a break. I love the feeling of shaving after a few days off, but only do that on occasion.

Twenty-nine hours between shaves suits my hide perfectly. Any more, and it gets feeling funky. Any less, and it hasn't had enough time to rebound from the last shave. Now if I could just stretch out each day five hours.

I also get a nicer, closer shave with some time off, but I couldn't get away with stubble at work.  I guess that's one reason for me to look forward to Mondays.

I shave every day.  It all depends on what your skin can take.   I have to shave every day from Monday through Friday because of my work.  I shave on Saturdays and Sundays because I want to and enjoy the process.  If I didn't work, I would still shave every day.

I hear ya. Multiple day growth is a lot easier to shave; this is why I am wary of stellar reviews of razors that's been used to mow down a couple of days growth.

The true measure of a good razor for me is how fantastic and comfortable the shaves it gives as a daily. Heck I can have an amazing shave with most razors in my den if I waited a few days.

I used to wait 4 days before I shaved with carts.. lol.

My skin really appreciates it when I shave 4 days of growth compared to daily or every other day. I like the look of a daily shaven face better and usually I don't have the patience to wait 4+ days.
