I've just recently stumbled upon the Mergress razors. So, I'm trying to envision what the brush handle might look like. I have seen a few BSB brushes in polished aluminum. They look nice. So, if done correctly, I would like it.

The handle will follow the general outline of the SS adjustment knob with flutes.

Toothpaste works just as well as chocolate. This practise is commonly associated with making a fire without matches...

I actually had to drink soda and eat chocolate to stimulate the creativity fire to produce my impression of the Mergress brush!  Tongue

Until the preppers and militia types overran the community I was involved in wilderness and marine survival. Guys shows up announcing he knows more than the instructors and all methods of making fire. I asked if he had ever used an ice lens with moonlight? We sat around the fire making smoors while he spent an hour trying it.

A snipe hunt! Shame on you for preying on your fool's naivety. Now please fetch me a long weight from the hardware...

It's certainly a very neat concept and would serve well as an introduction to the effects of loft height. However once you'd established your sweet spot I can't imagine ever wanting to adjust it again.

I often feel the same about adjustable razors. I own two Megress and have owned Fatboy, Futur and Vision. While I rarely move them from my preferred setting I do however see the value in being able to increase or decrease blade exposure for subsequent passes.

Except I need the left handed version along with some adjustable pliers and a glass hammer to change the compass oil. Now be a good fellow and requisition the Supply Officer for 1000 Gas Tight Envelopes!

The Mergress brush is coming along nicely. The handle will be machined out of a heavy gauge aluminum and will weigh in at 86g. The handles will be stuffed with WSP High Mountain White badger knots.

That looks very promising. On a side note: I absolutely love the bronze knob Mergress I got from you Phil! An absolute must have razor for sure. Very smooth to use from setting 1 to 5 in my opinion.

Excellent! Glad to hear it. The bronze knob Mergress looks much better in person than it does in my photos. Like all Mergress razors, it is a great shaving razor.

Yes it is! Are you going to be offering the long handle Mergers in bronze too? I may have to try that one out as well if so. Or how about a bronze/bling!
