Also, after you use it let us know what you think of the shave.

I adore my Mongoose.  I used the original hexagon handle but that provided too much weight and exceeded my skill set.  A future project will be to return to that handle and complete the original experience as intended.  I will purchase the Alumigoose once it is released.

This razor taught me the value of the Feather Artist Club blades.  I like the angles on the head and wish they would create a DE razor as well.  I was loosely thinking that the Blackbird might be an DE equivalent (strong angles, blade exposure and the like).

As far as the customer service issues mentioned above...  I did not interface with the company directly thus I have nothing to report.  The craftsmanship is fine by my standards.  I am a satisfied customer.

Sorry, old thread bump... but just curious: is v2 after b3 ? What's the design difference between them?

Matt, V2 is the Alumigoose version 2. B3 or batch 3 is the SS model.

Alumigoose has a different head profile comparing to the B3. I know that only the Mongoose II is available now, with the slimmer head profile, not the B3.

I have the first run of the Alumigoose. The head is the same as the old B1 and  B2 stainless models. More aggressive than the newer Alumigoose models.

The slimmer Alumigoose V2 head is far better, in my opinion. I think the Mongoose II ( SS model) has the same head.

Many guys feel the new AlumiGoose with the slimmer head are too mild.

To each his own. If by saying too mild comparing to the V1 they mean less blade feel and more comfortable shaves, then yes the newer head is better to me.

Anyway, I had two of these. Sold the unused here and gave the used one to my brother.

Thanks Nick for being thorough... this is more what I'm getting at.

Does the Mongoose II have a B# ?
Or are they all just considered Mongoose II ?

Matt, I don't think they have a batch number. You can find the ss model as Mongoose II only.
