For me it's Cyril Salter Indian Sandalwood. I have tried all of the previously mentioned soaps and they fall short of the mark.

since very recently  - Sudsy Soapery Sandalwood and Myrrh. It has similar notes to the AOS Vintage Sandalwood, but not as strong. I do have a backup puck of the AOS Sandalwood too Smile

For those that have tried both, CRSW Sandlewood vs. MW Sandalwood and Rose?

I've never owned a Sandalwood scent surprisingly. But this thread is making me want to pick up a CRSW and try it out.

Haslinger has a nice sandalwood. It's pretty close to the real deal, but a little muted (and slightly musky? There's something besides sandalwood in the scent profile).

Also, not artisan but I love Proraso sandalwood in the red tube/tub. That was a 'big brand' you didn't mention. And I don't like TOBS at all, sorry to say.

If you live close to an AOS, you can pop in for a sniff. While I wasn't a fan of AOS, I really like CRSW's take.
