As I was getting ready for work this morning and putting my gear back in place, my eye caught my dwindling container of Baume.be. I find this to be a fantastic cream that at one point seemed to be in everyone's den. I know that when something new hits the shops everyone hops on board and it eventually fades out but it just seems this one fell off the earth.

Of all the creams I've tried I've found this one to be top notch and is one of the very few I still use. What little I have left means I will be having to aquire another tub soon if it's in fact, still available. Hopefully Phil still has some on his shelf.

Does anyone else feel the same and still have this in rotation? I realized it has yet to grace a SOTD for sometime now and would hate to see it fade away if it hasn't already.

Baume.be is still in my top tier cream rotation along with Esbjerg, Alvarez Gomez, Penhaligons, and I Coloniali.

New soaps and creams come and go in my den but Baume.be will always have a place as one of the absolute top performers in all areas.  I think one of the reasons it doesn't get talked about much is that along with Esbjerg there just isn't much to left to say or debate.  They just perform day in and day out.  Baume.be will always have a place in my rotation.

Always in the bathroom, for me the nicest shaving cream I've tried. But since I'm living in Belgium it's easy to obtain.

I feel the same as both of you. As long as its around it will remain in my den. I know its been around for a bit and anything that can be said has been so nothing to really keep talking about. I just bring it up due to never hearing of or seeing anyone post it in their SOTD. I know with all the new soaps and creams coming out its easy for something to get pushed back further and further into the shadows but as good as it is, I'm surprised its not in the light more often.

Makes me happier I have dedicated myself to limiting my den. Nothing new unless something leaves. Allows me to enjoy my rotation more and keeps the little gems like Baume.be front and center! Smile

I haven't used mine in quite some time... I'll dig it out of storage and use it tomorrow.  I find it to perform very well.

The inherent fault in any hobby assumes everyone shares a common pool of experience and knowledge. New shavers are joining daily. You just made more than a few conscious of Baume.

I had forgotten about Baume.be.  I snapped this photo late last autumn, when I was wondering if I would finish the jar by the end of the year. I did.  And, well, I don't know why, but I never got around to picking up another.  Perhaps that was when I moved into my Meissner phase, which I'm still in.

Baume.be is superb.  I see Men's Essentials still carries it, but it's currently out of stock.  They make an aftershave balm as well, but I haven't tried that.

I think I'll grab another jar as soon as it comes in stock.  Will make a nice addition to my rotation.

You've got the razor of my dreams!

And, the brush, too.

I'm planning my January 1 orders now. No more big ones until then.

Is Baume.be scented or unscented? If scented, what is it like?

It's a wonderful cream, with a great performance and a simple yet pleasing scent. I wouldn't be without it or the balm!

Another +1 for the Be. I ran out of mine and would love more, but it is a bit expensive to get in Oz with postage. Scent is really nice. Think luxury spa type products.

A great cream along with a great fragrance. When I last inquired Phil at BGS told me he was no longer stocking it.

BG has some pre shave still but that's it. Hope Phil gets more in. A quick search shows a few vendors. One I've never heard of, Baume.be themselves, and one I won't deal with lol.

I owned two creams last year Used one up and haven't touched the other jar since. I have a rather large rotation, so gave it a break. Also owns the soap. Cream is better.
In fact the cream is top 10 best creams I own along with Castle Forbes, Esbjerg, Acqua di Parma, I Coloniali, St. James, Antica Barb Colla, Alvarez Gomez, Musgo Real, Floris 89, Penhaligon, Xpec and some others I can't remember now

Scent is sort of like Proraso Blue, not the same scent at all, but both are pleasant yet kind of weird scents.
I get a fresh aquatic vegetable vibe from Baume.be

Cream is a 9.5/10 for me. Almost a 10. Perfect performance wise. weird scent.

Love the cream and balm, good stuff. The containers they come in are well thought out and look great on the sink counter top. Someone once mentioned that the scent smacked of carrots and I thought to myself that's it, that's what the weird scent is. It's been hard for me to get past that thought since.
