Looking for suggestions of aftershaves for my boys (8 and 13) to get me for Christmas.*. I'd say the budget is <$40 though under $30 would be better. Splashes are ok but with my Iraq vet dry skin I lean towards balms and milks.

So what do ya got for me?

TIA

Art of Shaving comes in at $40, which is at the top of the range but they are excellent balms. Being that it is a retail location the boys can go and pick the scent they want to buy you. Also for the 8 year old, he's a good age (I think) where going to the store and handing over the cash to pay is an accomplishment.

Haven't tried any of the CRSW products.  What's the best place to order them?

Krampert's in a flask.

It's alcohol based but in no way harsh, in fact I find it very nourishing.   It smell amazing, plus you get the flask which you get to keep for future refills and so looks more substantial as a present.

I Highly recommend CRSW. Larry sells directly from his website and is a TSN Artisan Supporter.

What type of scent profile you like for your aftershave ? What scent of shave soap you do use.

I second the above suggestion of in store. Would be good if there's a decent shave soap nearby that they can choose from but pretty much unlikely.

I agree with others that this should be an in store purchase for your kids. It's their experience that's most important. All dads know that.  Biggrin

I'd recommend they go to any well stocked drugstore or Wal Mart. They will have Nivea, Old Spice, Clubman, etc. let them pick out what they like. Whatever they get should work just fine, even on dry skin.

Just remember....on Christmas morning...soap on a rope (or equivalent) is the BEST GIFT EVER!!! Winky

For a splash, I agree with CRSW lotions. The best balm I've ever used is Sapone Di Paolo, also another TSN artisan: Sapone Di Paolo

Kramperts Frostbyte is a great afteshave! I really enjoy the cooling effects during the summer.

CRSW lotion. Try the Sandalwood, or Colonia Meditarrania!
