Gents, bought my Merkur Progress from Connaught recently. Today morning after finishing my Shave during the blade removal process the entire mechanism popped open.

I am not able to put it back in and the plastic knob is not going into the groove.

I have banged my head for 15 min or so and I can't figure out what to do next.

Now the knob is going in but it's totally free.

Any tips to get it working back again.[Image: b9c1c66f725bf7383c016deca4bee2e6.jpg]

Jagdeep, that should be an easy fix.
Just pinch, tightly, the little movable cylindrical piece of steel at the bottom of the handle, rear the knob and insert the entire bottom piece into the main handle.
Afterwards, put the head in the proper aligned position and twist the bottom knob to tighten.

Good luck. Shy

Thanks Celestino but would it not mess with the number setting (aggressiveness)of the razor.

No. It shouldn't affect the settings, at all.

Good to hear all is well. Smile
