Hi guys ...
I have heard so much about the two.
I am really looking for a OneBlade as I have heard good reviews about it. Also like the Mongooose. Which of the two would you choose?
I like a smooth shave without irritation. I have good skin but I think its a little sensitive.
Your comments please.

Whats the smiling blade defect?
Many people found that when they inserted the blade in the OneBlade it didn't fully fit properly. When you looked at the blade from the front of the razor the blade seemed to be "smiling". Basically, the blade gap on the sides was less that in the middle of the razor, causing the razor to not shave properly.
Mine doesn't have that issue. But, I hear that many did on a certain batch.

Cheers, So basically you are saying the blade bends upwards from the sides once inserted? ...

I had two Mongoose razors a V1 and an Aluminum. I sold both within 2 weeks of receiving my One Blade. For me there is no comparison between the two razors. As far as the pressure needed to use the pivot feature either it takes a few weeks use and practice to fully appreciate it. It maybe that the spring has to stretch a bit or one has to develop a feel for the razor. Of the razors I have now I would rate them in this order.
1. One Blade
2. Wolfman
3. ATT SE
I intend purchasing the Asylum once released. I hope this helps.

When I started researching this whole wet shaving thing, (only two months ago? wow) I ended up picking the blade first. I was and am convinced the Feather AC type blade is what I wanted. The OneBlade, while (to me) insanely expensive, was tempting from all I read. But the blade won out. I have had exactly zero regrets with my satin Mongoose B3.

Sold my Weber early on and regretted it. Love the Kent BK8 you sold me. The sun hurts my eyes. Just back from Yellowstone. Too much sun missed my rain.

I think the AC blades are miles ahead of the blades that OneBlade was built around. I love the Kai Mild blades especially.
