I have one. VP has been making brushes of all uses since I believe 1902. The knots are very soft and have just enough backbone to handle hard soaps. Presently only one online dealer in Florida seems to carry them.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VP-Leonhardy-Ger...Sw~oFXLZKt - a similar, new brush on Ebay. This is why potential buyers are reluctant.

Superior Shave is a B&M store with associated markup and shipping to the USA. As new the price is ethical, if not an incentive to buy. The EBAY seller is in Portugal, part of the EU and probably  enjoys a few breaks on cost. I would point out however; seller was not helped letting potential buyers know his price could be nickled and dimed by a non forum member on EBAY. Next time perhaps a PM?

That eBay brush is 20 years old though according to the listing. Knot might be so dry it'll blow up like a dandelion. Might not too.

Hardly apples to apples me thinks.

You had 20 shaves, knock off a few bucks and move it. There's a buyer in the UK waiting.

Going by the handles shown on Superior Shaves' site, the eBay brush seems to be a pure or best badger knot while the one for offer here is shown as a silvertip. There's a significant price difference between the two.

Not for nothing, but that Lucite handle is lovely.

If I was in the market I'd be very happy to buy. Seems like an interesting brush from a deep rooted manufacturer.

Their two banders look nice as well.

The price being offered here is a significant discount. Looked like $129 new to me. If this was a two band instead of three you'd be reading a PM from me.
