Mark (Mantic 59) has had a series of articles on Synthetic Brushes from a group of users crossing several forum groups on his site Sharpologist.

There will be some brand new quality brushes that will be given away and I don't want you to miss an opportunity to enter in for a new brush.

Here are the existing articles:

http://sharpologist.com/2012/06/syntheti...art-1.html

http://sharpologist.com/2012/06/syntheti...art-2.html

http://sharpologist.com/?s=The+New+Synth...8Part+4%29

http://sharpologist.com/?s=The+New+Synth...8Part+5%29

The latest article should come out in the next few days so keep an eye out for it.

I'm guessing that after the last piece comes out that Mark will announce the contest and that Gary was just giving us a heads up about it.

Many thanks for the heads up GD, I will keep a close eye on the Sharpologist. Thanks also to celestino and SharpSpine for asking and answering the question I would have raised.

I've read each of the articles with great interest. By choice, I won't use an animal hair shaving brush so for me synthetics have always been my only option. I'd almost given up hope of a really decent synthetic brush ever being produced but it looks like after many years of waiting it's actually happened.

Exapno,
The synthetics are really nice now. I have a silvertip & black fibre from Muhle. The black fibre is my favorite. You can easily have a great quality brush now at a very reasonable price too.

Great contest! and Bravo! to all who have contributed to those articles.

I am still more than happy with my H.I.S synthetic. Since starting head shaving again, it is awesome with a shave stick on the noggin in the shower!

yeah, given the uncertainty out right now, and the interest in the new breed ill give a serious review to add to the great info the guys did already to this brush,.... Mark got some Great support from the vendors and i think they deserve a good hard look for helping out, and probably deserve a little more then one of my pointless and uninformative jests lol, im super excited to see this perform on a hard puck of soap and see the amazing differences it has been posted as having,....

and whether it could overcome my "cool factor" that seems to keep me from the synthetics, i mean i never had a problem with cart razors, just thought DEs were more fun and had that unexplainable quality for me,... this is almost like going against the currant on that but i want to try none the less this is a perfect way to do so without having to worry about buyers remorse
