When I Coloniali decided to stop producing their shaving line, it got me thinking of all of the great shaving soaps from yesteryear. Some of my favorites include the Yardley Black Label shaving soap and the old tallow Trumper Shaving soaps. In order to define vintage I am going to arbitrarily limit it to soaps that were discontinued by 2009. Which soaps make your list?

My only experience was with Tumpers tallow in rose. I bought a wooden bowl and two refill pucks from Lee and everyone was horrified I spent@ $50. I still had the refills and gifted my nephew upon discovering MWF. His father made cracks about using girl soap. I told him to send them back after learning he bought Barbasol. He had thrown them in the trash.

Do that, I Coloniali IMHO is still my best performing soap, admittedly a good few others are also up there in quality.
I have one Terracotta open and a new one waiting (perhaps for next decade with all the soaps I own)
