Have any of the injector die hards given this a try. I'm curious if it is any good considering the knock-off in general tend to be pretty poor in quality.
Currently they are not shipping outside the US so that makes it harder to get one in Canada. I've got friends in low places so its not impossible, but I'm wondering if it is worth the effort to try and get my hands on one of these.

I have one and it is of good quality and a smooth shaver on the mild side. It works well with twin blades.
There is a thread on another forum in which someone who had one of each compared the clone to a real type O and found them to be nearly identical in both construction and shaving.
It's the closest most of us will get to using a real type O.

A discussion/review of this "razor" can be found here: http://shaveblog.com/?p=32
I've got two real Type-O Schicks (one in rotation, one mint) and love them.

Lucky you. I'd like to get my hands on one, but the one I saw for sale last week was 170 British Pounds. Way more than I'd spend on one, but I'll keep an eye out for another at a more reasonable price.

I saw that one too...it's mine now.

Congrats on the score. Currency conversion into Canadian dollars made it a bit over my limit.

So I caved in. I ordered one of the eBarbershop clones at a 10% discount. They seem to have good reviews compared to the one from Nationwide Campus mentioned in the blog linked above. It is being shipped to my counterpart in our Houston office who will be coming to Calgary (Canada) at the end of October for Budget meetings. I'm excited to get the razor, but not so excited about the budget meetings.

You should be satisfied with this clone. Just remember not to discard the blank that loaded in the head.

I might have missed something, but why do I need to save the blank that it comes with?

If you store any Schick injector razor for any length of time without a blade (or blank) then the retention spring loses its tension.
What I do before storing mine for longer than a week, is soak the razor head in alcohol, let it fully dry, then inject a fresh blade into it and put it into storage.
None of my razors have the blanks, but they would have been handy to keep.

Why don't you trim the edge off a blade akin to a shim for DE ? Seems to me that would at least reduce the risk of injury if mishandled.

Or just load a blade backwards (edge in). I suppose that would work too.

You know you want it. I have bought way too many in the last month, but figured what the heck. I convinced myself I had to do it now because I know a guy that can bring it over the border for me.

So...not bad. Not overly fantastic. Loaded a fresh Chick, made sure it didn't drag.
RR Dead Sea whipped up with my M6 Simpson. I'm still working on the perfect mix.
3 pass BBS for the most part. I feel it left a few hairs behind in spots. Maybe it was me...
Recommended as a good injector option if one have a negative feeling about vintage.
I feels it's equal to a Type L.
