I received my Knots In Your Head/Doug Scharf brush today. I had Larry at Whipped Dog put in one of his Silvertip knots. It is 20mmx48mm, my smallest knot to date.

It is on deck for tomorrow. Here it is pre and post bloom.

Very unique handle! I like it very much!

The trend seems to be toward larger and larger knots, but like you, I'm heading in the opposite direction ... smaller and smaller...

Beautiful brush!

I'm a big fan of smaller to medium brushes. That one looks great in that handle!

Let us know how you like the small knot.  I don't have any knot below 24mm diameter, and most of my brushes are 26-28mm.

Yowza! That's a sharp looking handle! I have a WD silvertip of similar size, 20/45. Used it just a few shaves ago. It's always precise and pleasing to use. One observation I've made with this knot is that it takes a longer time to generate sufficient lather relative to larger knots. But that's probably my own deficiency.

Regardless, your new brush is quite stunning. Love the colors! Enjoy your shaves, BobSmile

I gave it a good initial cleaning yesterday and used it today. As expected, it did an excellent job providing a superb shave with great lather. Even with this smaller knot, I have more than enough lather for 3 passes.

I know I said: “No more brushes”, but look at this handle!

Thanks all! I used it again this morning. The smaller knot seems to be perfect for smaller jars/tins like WSP. I still got more than enough lather for 3+ passes.

That handle looks incredible!

Paired with the WD should be a very luxurious shave!
