The blade is not smiling.  Seats flush with front stops.

From the angle this picture was taken, the blade does appear to be smiling. It may be just the angle of the view, or there may actually be a smile. I've read where some of these razors seem to have a (very slight) smile as this appears, but that it doesn't seem to be any particular problem in use. After all, some of us use DE slants and some others use smiling straights.

I've got a One Blade, and it appears to have a very slight smile sometimes, but not every time I look at it. It didn't bother me enough to worry about, and didn't seem to affect the shave.

That's the 2nd picture you have posted with a different angle now and it's still smiling I hate to say.

Here is a picture for an example notice the blade looks like this | , yours appears to look like this ) , look at the ends vs the middle.

I was very curious after getting this question so I put a blade in my Mongoose, blade is the same as the OneBlade, very slight smile.  Then put a DE blade in my Merkur Future and Progress and the smile is a frown.  Then put a DE in my Edwin Jagger 89 and it to had a faint smile.  All I can think of is when the blade is set the pressure of the razor against the blades creates some distortion.  I have never had a shave issue with any of these razors and it appears Smoothie hasn't experienced any adverse shave either with the OneBlade.  I also think the pivot head makes a major difference in the quality of the shave.  I think all blades will have some flex or distortion. I know on straights with a extra hollow grind, the blade is flexible and that's what enables it to give a smoother shave.  Guess if it bothers someone, they shouldn't use DE or SE razors.  I noticed from my emails from OneBlade, they have been sold out for weeks and are just now starting to fill orders.

I guess I may be naive, but what effect will that minimal amount of "smile give in a shave?  One of my favorite razors is a slant.  I guess if the blade gap is too extreme it could give an inconsistent shave.  I don't know.  The reality is that my OneBlade shaves very nicely.  In fact, I used it this morning.  I didn't go check after putting a new blade in to see if it was smiling at me.  I'm sure this is a real problem, but I'm just trying to understand.  Has anyone that is pointing out the smile actually shaved with one of these smiling razors?  If so, could you please enlighten me.

Regardless, I wish you good luck with your selling of the razor.

I shaved with it last week and I was smiling.  Didn't think anything about the quality of the shave until this was mentioned.

Not sure how you are inferring that I didn't have problems.  I returned mine ASAP for a full refund of my $199 purchase price.

Mine was way too mild.  By my way of thinking, the blade gap is way too small in the middle on a smiling blade.  If you compare the normal OneBlade to the smiling OneBlade, it is pretty easy to see the bigger versus small blade gaps.

Just my 2¢ but I believe it was a typo and A Cut Above was referring to 5 Over who also has a OneBlade with a slight smiley face and has never experienced any problems with the shave.

I haven't responded to this thread but I did receive a OneBlade that was smiling and it was terrible. I sent it back for a refund.

Where can you get that deal?  I went to their website and they are showing Sold Out with shipping resuming again on October 17.

Where's this available? I don't see it on their website unless I missed something. The razor is currently out of stock with a FUTURE delivery date.

Some on here might not have seen the other recent threads regarding this matter.  There were several buyers that purchased the One Blade that noticed the "smile".  There were multiple communications w/ OneBlade that resulted in various explanations/excuses (depending on how you view it) from OneBlade.  It appears that most (if not all) that received the smiling razor got a refund.  Simultaneous with that happening, OneBlade put their razors on sale for $199.  You can come to your own conclusions as to whether they were trying to get rid of "Smiling Stock" or not, I am just simply stating what has been discussed on here.  Someone correct me if I said anything wrong, or add if I left anything out.

I dont own, nor have I ever owned, a OneBlade.  Just giving cliff notes on a couple recent threads on here.
