Stumbled on this site, after a cryptic reference in B&B, decided to join after I read some posts and saw Bullgoose Phil was involved.

I returned to wetshaving sometime in 2010, IIRC. My first wetshave was back in the late 50's.

Leisureguy's website was instrumental in getting me re-started, as well as lots of good info from B&B.

Have my routine down pretty well now. Settled on my late 60's Aristocrat as my regular razor. Bought a Slim as a backup. I use Sensor Excel (two blade), Schick Xtreme3, or Walmart/Wilkie Tech3 or Bic Metal when I air travel.

I like: Soaps, mostly, Tabac, La Toja, Cella, bit of MWF. Sticks: Palmolive, Speick, Valobra, La Toja. Blades: Sharks, Walmart Wilkies, Astra SP, Feathers.
I stopped using cream (Proraso, Musgo, Irich Moos) for a while, but use for "summer" shaves some lately.

More than one brush is available for each day of the week.

I've found that good prep is the key to a great shave. I generally shave after a shower, using a glycerine soap on my face to wet the whiskers thoroughly.

- Mike
