I haven't used my Muhle STF brush with a 25mm knot in awhile. I used it last night and wow, I remembered how great it is. What I like about the Muhle XL 25mm is it just blooms out so much. None of my other brushs do the bristles spread out to such as a full bloom as my Muhle STF XL 25mm.
It is a fantastic brush for face or bowl lathering. Everyone should try one of these. You will love it.

I agree, the Muhle STF is a very nice knot. I used is exclusively for a few month when they first came out. I then started using the Edward Jagger XL STF knot, as it was the same knot, only a little larger and a little more dense. I still enjoy synthetic knots, but lately have also been using the Ubersoft II knot. It has a little more backbone, and I can purchase the knot (for less than $20) and put it in a custom handle.

This is an excellent synthetic brush.  I rate it as the second best synthetic available, after the Chubby 2.

The Muhle XL and the Edwin Jagger XL are both the same size, 25mm.

Right now I can't decide which one I like the best, my Chubby 2 or the Muhle. I like the way the Muhle spreads out over my face.

My Edwin Jaggers measure 27mm and are denser than my 25mm Mühle synthetics, although they are both advertised as 25mmm.
