Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: Tradere OC
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
Brush: Simpson Colonel X2L Best
Soap or Cream: Trumper Limes Cream
A/S: Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel, Taylor's No. 74 Victorian Lime Splash

A fine shave full of citrusy goodness this morning. I haven't posted for the last week because I was out of town and didn't have time. I also didn't shave yesterday because of time constraints, so the shave today was especially refreshing. The Tradere, with a fresh Astra blade, easily mowed down the two-day stubble with the assistance of the rich and fragrant lather created by the Trumper cream. Wow--did this ever feel good! In fact, it felt so good that I would immediately shave again, but there is nothing left to cut.

There are so many creams which are made in Russia, and my man Dmitry knows which ones I should try - he sent me this fantastic cream which has lather and skincare which are almost magical. In Russian, Znakhar means sorcerer. My skin feels so good and safe from dryness and irritation, and the lather is a pleasure to work with. The scent is very classy and traditional. I received a 100% BBS and beautiful shave!

Razor: 1949 Gillette Super Speed
Blade: Personna Super (med prep) (4)
Soap: Palmolive stick mushed in wooden bowl
Brush: Semogue 1470 boar
Post: Alum deodorant stick

Result: BBS on face, DFS on neck in 3 passes and touch-up. Great shave with a Semogue boar. I have been breaking this brush in for months and now I think it's finally beginning to be very good. I've been on a badger kick the last few weeks and have tried a couple of new to me Simpsons and two other badger brush, one being a prototype. Still, a good boar is always welcome in my den and I thoroughly enjoyed it today. Personna med had to go aft the 4th shave. I am just not too crazy about this blade for some reason. It gets a lot of love, but I find many other blades work better for me. I still got a great shave, though.
