There have been numerous posts regarding the quality of the Epsilon 2-Band knots.  I consider the Epsilon 2-band knots to be top tier, but I find they are set into a less than top tier handle.

Doug Korn has acquired expertise in transplanting knots into his custom handles.  I was skeptical about this initially, thinking that the process could perhaps damage the integrity of the knot.  However, after seeing numerous posts about Epsilon and Thater knots transplanted by Doug, I decided to go for it.  I chose Doug's classic D7 handle, in a grain ivory.  My Epsilon 2-band knot was the 27mm set to a 50mm loft, and I opted to keep the same loft.

Here is the picture of my brush which Doug posted in the Artisan section.  I'm posting it here because it shows the beauty of the grain ivory better than my pictures.

Here is the brush immediately after it arrived and I had removed it from its mailing tube.

And here is the brush after one shave with it.

I'm delighted with how this project turned out.  I now have a top tier knot set in a top tier handle, and the brush is a delight to use.

A very nice, proportional shape of the bulb vs the handle, a beauty.

Gifts & Care, in Spain.

Using the code TSN, you can also receive a 10% discount.

As David says, you can purchase an Epsilon brush from Gifts and Care.  However, one can only buy the brush, and not just the knot.  You can then send the brush to Doug Korn, who will remove the knot and set it into a custom handle.
