Or you can call them Pepperdews are extremely addictive. These rare beauties originated in South Africa and are the most delicious peppers I have ever tasted. They come in sweet (which is kind of hot because of the vinegar) and hot.
I think they are being grown in the US but not sure. I did find them in my local supermarket but only once. The only way I can get them is to order online.

They look like maraschino cherries in that photo, Jerry. Are they a finger food, do you add them to other recipes, or both?

They are indeed good. We have some friends from South Africa and they serve these every time we visit. I will have to ask them where they source them.

They are similar in size to cherry peppers and have a natural sweet taste but since they are packed in vinegar they have a slight kick. You can eat them as a side or in salad or they can be stuffed. They usually come in a jar. They are very addictive. You can't eat just oneBiggrin

I like them a lot myself.

I know they sell a lot of these in Italian markets and Italian Delis.

These are very delicious. The market I go to has a pepper bar and so many varieties are available in different marinades. The peppadews are candy. Really yummy.Shy
