I am not a brush expert in general and definitely not an expert when it comes to Simpson SilverTip brushes! However I've owned 3 of them and now only have two. From what it looks like to me, this hair is not treated. Looks natural but I could be wrong.
As far as curled tips, I'll confirm when I get home but I believe they are somewhat curled

That is helpful. Thanks a lot! Yeah, let me know if you get a chance once you look at home.

Zack,
I was wrong, I had 4 of them and sold one so now I have 3. First pic is of the recent release of the Simfix Grosvenor, second pic is T3 labeled HAND MADE, and last pic is a D3 labeled MADE IN ENGLAND (only one from 2011-2014 era).
To me it looks like all of them have curled tips. The recent Simfix has the least curled tips but that could be due to the fact that it's hasn't been used enough yet. Interesting enough the D3 and T3 are definitely softer than the Simfix! Hope this helps
