Hi Chaps, it's been a while, but I have been here in spirit.

I went along to an antiques fair yesterday here in Sydney, and had some luck. I found the following:

1 x HD500 from a 59 Set (1956; 71g) "Brit. Pat" 694 093. A bit of work needed and a small light patch of exposed brass on one side of the handle knurling. Otherwise in perfect working order.
1 x aluminium-handled "Rocket HD" (1953; 57-58g) "Patent Pending". Came with case. Razor in near mint condition. I believe these are rare (?)
1 x Slim Adjustable (J3 - 3rd quarter 1964). Good, solid working order. Last quarter turn a bit stiff ... Any tips on fixing this, anyone? I have cleaned and degreased-de-gunked...

And four packs of dispensers, all dated to 1963.

Not a bad haul...for a total cost of US $38. Yep.

I left behind a good working-order FatBoy, but it had severe brassing.

Anyway, here are two pictures of the ensemble; one is a closer shot of the aluminium handled HD:

I got a haul when I was in London, too. But I might end up being hated if I post my findings Smile
Clue: Aristocrat #21...

Normal, I think.

I believe that Slims all have a "tight" last bit of turn  to "lock".   The instructions, easily found with a search, suggest "Don't forget a final half turn to lock".

Very nice!

Lately, going to the antique shows here is like going to the rubbish heap. Very slim pickings.

No, I have quite a few; this one's umm, REALLY tight.

Damn what a great haul!! I love those English aristocrats and the other English gillettes. So hard to come by in California.
