Simpson Polo 14 Manchurian...

According to Mark only 3 were made.
Mine measures approximately 32mm x 59mm.
I was actually hoping for at least a 60mm loft.
The knot is huge, but appears smaller given the giant handle.
The knot is around 2mm wider than a CH3 Manchurian and about 3mm taller.
On first inspection (and prior to any use) the tips feels soft and there is heaps of backbone.
Its densely packed, almost Chubby-esque in that department.
The handle is at least 82mm tall and almost 50mm wide at the base.
This brush feels very substantial in the hand and will no doubt cover a lot of realestate on the face.
I'm really looking forward to giving this one a try!

Beautiful brush, Ben! I seem to recall a while back that Simpson's didn't use to make this Polo size in Manchurian, right?

Stunning.

Very nice brush. I'm surprised that they have a box that size for it.

It makes the CH2 look like a squirt.  Biggrin

I am not a fan of tall handles but have to admit that brush would be welcomed in my collection. The knot in particular is one of the finest I have seen from the isle of man.

I am interested in seeing it after its been wet.

I imagine once it's bloomed it will be even more impressive.

Holy.....! You could mop the floor with that thing. Of course you should be arrested for abuse if you do
Seriously though Ben, do you  plan on primarily bowl lathering with it? Or is it firm enough for face lathering? My brief experience with Manchurian is beyond my short term memory ,........, I actually forgot the word I'm looking for.

I predominately face lather. It's definitely firm (not that its necessarily a criteria for me), but I imagine it will exhibit some good splay too. Besides, I'm not sure I have a bowl big enough...
