This is another stunning razor, made for one of my favorite UK brands,Geo F. Trumper, combining a handle which could be made for Edwin Jagger and a close comb head, made by Merkur, but also allows to use Edwin Jagger/Muhle heads.

This razor only comes in a chromed finish, but a couple years ago,it was also available in gold finish, being one of the most stunning razors that I have seen, even, when I do admit, that I dont like gold chromed razors.

This razor is well made, like the Edwin Jagger Chromed Chatsworth and have a perfect balance.I find that it has a better balance when I use the Edwin Jagger/Muhle closed comb head, since this one weights like 5 g more than the Merkur closed comb head, distributing the weight of the razor better.

This is a pic with the Merkur close comb head.As you can see,is the same classic head that models like the Merkur 33 C uses :

Its weight with the Merkur head is the 92 g(3.1 oz),and with the Edwin Jagger head,98 g (3.4 oz).The handle by itself weights 64 g.

The handle of the razor doesn't have any knurling, but thats not a problem when holding the razor, unless that your hands are very slippery (but that would be a problem with any other razor).I find strange that this handle model is only being offered through Geo F Trumper and not Edwin Jagger.

Since this razor comes with the Merkur close comb head,I will write about how its shave with it.Well,it is not different than with a Mekur 38C HD,since the weight is very well balanced,as I have pointed, and it could be a little bit of the aggressive side, more than when I have used the Edwin Jagged closed comb head, which I would say its smoother, but equally effective.

I must admit that Im too sold to this kind of razors and, yes,I do like them too much.

Its an expensive razor. It cost 70 pounds (110 dollars) on the Geo F Trumper Website, but its not as expensive as some Edwin Jagger models Chromed Warwick Safety Razor.

Well,Im a happy man with this beauty on my bathroom now.

I believe that razor was made in Pakistan. The head LOOKS like a Merkur, but it's not a Merkur. These razors are private labeled for a number of sellers.

Beautiful razor, Teiste Cool

It's made by the same plant that makes the Chatsworth handle for Edwin Jagger.

I own the Edwin Jagger Chatsworth Barley Chrome - it's the same handle but with a pattern in the chrome and it's my favorite razor.................if I did not also own the Edwin Jagger Bulbous Lined Chrome razor Tongue
