We need to ping Merkur to get on the ball and develop a SS version of their Progress (sans the plastic adjustment knob).

What is the advertised price range of this new SS Muhle?  Haven't been able to find it online.

Interesting to hear it's going to be a limited release; I would have thought they would of wanted to transition to this style over time and do away with their standard head design which you can get from pretty much every major company

I would say they should stick to both.

Zamac looks pretty and is perfect for the rookie just getting into DE shaving. Affordable too.

SS is for the seasoned veteran, that wants something that will last and feels heavier more solid in the hand.

How do you know that? I can't read anything about limited run in any of Muhle oficial channels.

I really like that black matte version. Hopefully there will be enough of them for everyone who wants to buy them, since it will be a limited run. I guess the price will be at the 200€ range. I don't know something specific, it's just a guess. Unfortunately, I don't use DE razors anymore, but I have to admit that it looks very nice.

Making a new razor a limited run may work for Muhle. but for the consumer? Personally, I'd think there is a small but consistent market for simply a SS, very tight toleranced version of the R89. Mild might not grease all the squeakiest wheels, but I don't think Feather has any difficulty selling the AS-D2, which is that market segment exactly.

Same here, I didn't see limited run.

You think they would sell these in the states? Is BG going to carry it?

I read it here for the first time. Slantman says he confirmed that. Is there a link where we can read more info about it?

I would be definitely surprised if Muhle does that, for various reasons. One reason is because this company is focused on making DE razors. We haven't seen anything so far other than that from them. But, it would be interesting I guess.

Another thing. I noticed that the head is identical to the one of their classic DE line. It must be the same head design, without the openings on the underside of course, from a different material this time. Smart choice.
