What a good sandlewood soap on the opposite end as say tobs cream? I'd take creams to.

Proraso Red is not bad - closer to the woody side then the floral side.

In addition to these, I like Mystic Water Sandalwood, and Klar Seifen Sandalwood.

+1 on CRSW sandalwood. Generally, I don't really love sandalwood - but I greatly enjoy Larry's implementation.

Fine's is nothing more than a cheap immitation of the classic Art of Shaving Sandalwood. Stick with the the original.

So the AOS is that much better? How about the AOS tallow soap. Is it a good smell or is the cream better?

AOS Tallow is fantastic, scent and performance wise - but out of production.

The AOS cream is just as god smelling as the hard soap and cream performs great too.
