Hi guys,

Just wondering if there are any soaps/creams out there that have a similar scent to the canned barbasol. I really love the scent of barbasol but do not like the ingredients in it.

Scott

I'm always amazed at the difference between all of us regarding scent preference.  A great example is the love it or hate it Tabac scent.

My favorite scent is the classic Clubman Pinaud that you can get at any drug store for $7.

I also LOVE that classic scent. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the CAD scent.

You know what, the Barbasol Original foam doesn't smell bad. I just don't want to use it!

Id be interested in hearing if there are other scents out there in wet shaving that are similar to barbasol. I have to admit I'm not loving that PAA is the recommended. Fine American Blend is close???

That's my problem too the ingredients are crappy, especially if your skin is as sensitive as mine and allergic to most soaps/creams.

The after the shave feel is not great with barbasol I find much better with a soap. Will skip the PAA as per the fellow who said it wasn't all that great.

Not to sound silly .... what does Barbasol smell like? I really don't know. I only know the smell of Williams.  Huh

It's only $1.61 if you want to sniff an American made classic. If it were slicker and did not dry out my skin I would use Barbasol from time to time purely because of its price, heritage and awesome scent.

Look in to Stirling soaps. I almost exclusively use their soaps and give it to my college boys. In fact I just gave one a sample of Piacenza. Look them over to see if that resembles that sent.

American Barber from Razorock is a dead ringer.  Matching AS as well.
