I just had my first shave with my first M&F L7 28 in Finest hybrid knot. Wow, what a brush! It was worth the cost and wait. Just a work of beauty and that knot! Unbelievably dense with oh so soft tips. I followed up that order with another M&F in Blonde badger.

Just received an email from Brad Sears that these two shaving brushes are ready to ship. An Alibaba in Antique Ivory and Ebony and a Pug in Purple Haze. Both with Blonde badger knots. Here's a M&F Pug that  I received this week. Brad made some changes to the proportions so the coral and amber compliment each other better.

I agree. Both brushes came out better than I imagined.

Received the Blonde Badger brushes. Here are the pics I took. In third picture I added M&F in Finest (L7 butterscotch) for comparison. [Image: 06d1b6ed9c71e8de55f1060bc4a9e757.jpg][Image: b87dfcc7dc81a17f8a5bb2f012541dca.jpg][Image: cbfee1336fff64289dcb23765e555e0f.jpg]

I have two. An older Tulip style handle with the Rooney Heritage 3 band that I recently acquired from one of the fine gents on here and this newer 2xl Sears collaboration. Lee's current knots/hair are excellent.[Image: sSlSDdi.jpg]

Here are mine The black one is a recent Sears collaboration brush from mid 2018. I love it. Lee is getting some sweet hair right now. The white one is a pretty rare Tulip from the all Lee days. It has the Heritage three band hair. The other pic shows a 2xl that I had to sell. It was also a Brad collaboration brush and is shown with a Sears Archduke that was one of two made in a 26mm size.

Lovely brush.

Here is mine from the same release. Two lathers in it so not quite broken in. It’s a 2XL in Blonde in English Butterscotch.

I try to hunt down what I call “true” Blonde Badger knots, which is a term of my own invention with no real meaning or significance to me but generally refers to knots consisting of hair which is somewhere between 2 band and 3 band, plush with a hint of scritch at the beginning but generally softens up, and is minimally treated. This batch of hair fits the bill.

FWIW in my opinion and repeated observation Brads handles are of higher quality than the older ones understood to be turned by Lee and this one is no exception.

First M&F brush for me. My initial impressions are density of knot are superb, will take a couple uses to break in the knot, and bulb feels like the right decision for my preference with the brush [Image: b9e1583ead911f5ea41be7fcb71f47f6.jpg]

Thanks! Color pattern is really cool, and Brad's handles are always top notch quality. Now just to find a deep blue sea ebonite

Interesting to see what other materials are used.  Ebonite is a natural.
