Lately I have been using my razors that take the artist club type blades and enjoying them very much. Tonight I used my Piccolo and it refreshed my memory of what a great razor the Piccolo is. Of course I got a beautiful close and smooth shave. If not for the Piccolo I would probably get rid of all my DE razors. I will certainly always have my Piccolo. It is in a class by itself.

I'm about to purchase a Fatip; just deciding between the Piccolo or the Grande. Like a bit more weight and short handle similar to my Fat Boy.

Yes they are more aggressive than a Gillette NEW long comb. The funny thing is, the Fatip is more aggressive than the NEW but I find the Fatip to be a smoother shaver.

Do you prefer piccolo or the Grande and why?

I use to think I liked the bigger handle on the Grande better but I've been using the Piccolo lately and now I think I like the feel of it better. It really boils down to just what appeals to you. The Piccolo is small but has more weight to it. They are both great razors.

I really like my gold Grande. It's the only gold razor I own.

That is a beauty. But truth be told; there are a lot of pretty razors out there. What has drawn me to the Fatip was its construction of brass and various platings. They could produce them far cheaper, but continue to make them in brass.  Thumbup

That too is what draws me to the Fatip razor. That and the fact that even tho they are aggressive, they very smooth. If I could only keep one DE razor it would be a Fatip for sure.

Probably nickel, love the classic look. It's just I like the size of the Grande, just wish the handle was heavier. May swap it out or add weight (via BB's epoxied inside).

I would get the Grande if I were you. It's not that light. I bet you would like it.

Another great shave today with my Fatip Piccolo. What a great razor and you can't beat the price, under $20.00.
