I had a conversation with Jurgen Hemple and he said his handles don't fit Weber razors, but my Weber handles fit all my other razors, so I do not understand what he means by they don't fit.

I have a Timeless head, Weber Head, and IKon X3 head. Soon I'll have a Blackbird head, too. I need to make sure it will fit these before I drop $$$ for the handle...haha

He said his handles are 5mm...

What am I missing?

The top is too wide to fit the baseplate.

The Weber has ribs on either side of the post when the razor is assembled. Handles that are not narrow enough to get between the two ribs don't snug up with the head pieces enough to shave with the razor.

I don't think that's the problem. I wanted a Weber Classic Handle clone like TSEVANGELIST in blue Ti to fit my Timeless, Wolfman, Blackbird and Weber heads, and he said it would not work because it's a 5mm handle.

So that's what I don't get.

Im not sure 100% about this really myself. I have quite a few of his handles and i know they vary in neck size so some of them are too wide to fit into Gillette NEW heads. Maybe the problem is the thread isnt deep enough? Is the male half from the Weber extra long, i dont have a Weber myself.

I may be wrong but I think I read somewhere it had to do with tapered heads or threads or something. They just didn't jive. I may be wrong though. Wouldn't be the first time!  Thumbsup

Best handle other than Weber's own for Weber heads is the Mongoose Dr. Bomber polished to go with the polished head. Great combo and it's the one I always use with it. That handle has a very skinny top that fits nicely in between the bars on the base of the head.

Ok. That's actually the handle I was looking at, or one that's very close to it. Looks beautiful!

I'm a sucker for beautiful things!
