I used this cream tonight and while it produced extreme amounts of lather, MY FACE IN ON FIRE! Oddly enough, it's only my cheeks that are burning up, not any other part of my face. does anyone else have this problem with the classic cream and/or creams that have a lot of almond scent?

Sound like an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients. Did you try XXX? Few people had a reaction to that but I haven't heard anything on Classic.

Try putting a small amount on your forearm and see if that reacts like cheeks.

when it's whipped up into a lather or straight out of the tub? why on the forearm?

I'm afraid that's the case. that's unfortunate as the cream lathered up real well for me.

Try Cacao, it performs exactly the same but a bit milder. Maybe that'll do the trick.

If you read some of the Italian shaving forums, to me it seems split 50/50 on users getting irritation or not with this cream branded under its regular name Fitness.

I had a similar reaction to Classic and Cacao, and a worse reaction to the XXX, but Cella doesn't seem to bother me at all. Have you tried Cella?

I loved Classic RazoRock, but unfortunately it doesn't always like me. I use it occasionally, and am always very impressed with the performance, but won't be reordering.

RazoRock is the one soap I've never had an issue with. I cannot use Art of Shaving creams or Mama Bear Soaps due to this issue.

I don't think that I've tried cella yet. I'm pretty sure I have a sample of it somewhere that Phil sent me after buying some stuff from him a while ago.

I also have some p.160 I haven't tried yet and a brand new tub of TFS in the red tub that smells like a mix of cherries and almonds.

And I had the issue with RR MdB. Beautiful lather and scent but face or fire.

No issue with the XXX and I have the King Louis and the LaFamiglia Zi' Peppino on deck to try.

I think certain scent oils be they the essential or fragrance type just cause issues for some people. I couldn't tolerate Trumper's Coconut cream either.

The inside of the forearm is sensitive almost like the face so maybe it can give you an indication if it's a true allergic reaction and/or if it may cause you problems.
