Dark Fall sounds interesting. Those that have tried it, what are your thoughts on the scent?

Unique, and a very aromatic take on a camp fire type scent. Many have described the scent that fills the air as someone is burning leaves. I agree it is along this profile and would also add there is a wonderful balance of sweet and spice behind the head notes. Every time I walk by my nook I stop to have a smell of this scent.

It also has a cologne type quality to it as well.  Very intriguing scent that's for sure.

EXCELLENT. Scott really hit the jackpot on the Tallow formula. It is just outstanding. Can't wait to get a hold of his new knots

Agreed the brushes I have seen are beautiful, and from what the guys are saying about the knots I think we are all in for a treat.

I ordered a sample of this at maggard and it really blew my mind. It makes a beautiful thick/dense and creamy lather that I wanted to eat. lol.

I wasn't super nuts about the scent I had I am sure I can find one I like. Smile

I really good one to start with in my opinion is after the rain, super clean and a more mild scent compared to the others.

I decided to order samples of the rest of their scents. Surely I can find one I like that way.

Been a HUGE fan of L&L grooming since day 1.  His bison bison tallow really elevated the standard of soap for me.  I mostly use his soaps when I shave.  I have the Cuir et Epices, Trismegistus and Darkfall.  All three are absolutely lovely scents.  They are not overly complex and confusing to the nose.  They are cohesive but interesting to the nose.  Performance is top notch.  The lather is creamy and thick, slick, and the post rinse feel is soft and slick but not greasy.  The softness of the soaps makes them easy to load too.  You can't go wrong!

Tangential but his knots are really something. Hand-tied, dense with a gentle scrub and very soft tips. Great product.

Tried Dadkfall yesterday and it was excellent. The soap is on the soft side but easy enough to load directly off the tub. Now I get the popularity of this bison tallow soap. The consistency after swirling a bit reminds me of Catie's bubbles v1, in that after a few swirls, the top looks sticky, but also like CB, it's easy to load and doesn't take plenty of product to produce a 3 pass lather.

I like Oud scents, so this is a nice soap for me, however I'm not too keen on the aftershave. It's not bad but I like cologne type aftershaves. This smells a bit on the medicinal side for me (It was true to the description, it is what Scott says it is. A fall scent). I can certainly use it, it's not Roam kyovu level but I'll probably be picking up others before this one. Then again it really depends on ones mood after a shave.

One more nitpick is the stopper on the aftershave bottle. I hope Scott improves this for future releases.

Found the brushes on his web site. The knots look nice, and the fact the he hand ties them himself is a big plus. Not loving the handles. The shapes are fine but the color is not all that exciting to me. All that being said, if anyone has purchased and used one of his brushes, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts and maybe some pictures.

As for the software... I bought the soap and matching aftershave for both Cuir et Épices and Dark Fall. I have only shaved with the Cuir et Épices. The performance is outstanding. Easy to lather and very slick. Definitely a top performer. Just not crazy about the scent. There is just something about it that seems a bit over the top or too much to me. It's not unpleasant, just not my favorite.

As for Dark Fall, opening the soap and smelling, I love the scent. It's what I would imagine Fall to smell like. I'm excited to used it, but today in Southern California, it's near 90 degrees, so I'll probably wait for cooler weather.

Excellent looking lather. I love fougere! For someone new to L&L would you say the fougere is a good place to start? Also intrigued by after the rain.

I got After the Rain in the mail today.  Not sure I can describe the scent other than to say it smells like a sugar cookie.  The performance is spot on but the scent left me underwhelmed.  I was very excited to get this one after already having Darkfall and Harmony.  What do they say? "2 out of 3 ain't bad".

Well Corey, if those photos don't make you want to try a new soap I don't know what would. Nice work!
