I goofed and posted this in blades...duh. anyway, has anyone had any issues with WSP formula t soaps having a bad smell?  My last two purchases have no fragrance but a really funky beeswax, tallow smell. I know these are tallow soaps but his is a bit much.  Love WSP but these dont cut it. Any advice?  Thanks in advance

Ask the vendor about it.  I have two WSP Tallow (Matterhorn/Gaelic Tweed) and they smell fantastic.  Sounds like something got messed up.  Contact the vendor.

I have Formula T in two scents. Both my Mahogany and Barbershop are great scents. I opened them both up to see if I smelled any hint of anything different like you said and nothing. I would contact them with a private message. They are in the list of vendors here.

Thanks all. I may try airing them out a bit and then blooming before a shave, which I never do with WSP soaps. If this doesnt help I'll just call Lee. Didnt know if you guys had run into the same thing. Thanks again

Ken, you should not have to air out or bloom a soap to get rid of a bad smell.  Contact Lee at WSP.   He's a supporting vendor here and provides good customer service.

I met a couple people from WSP at one of the shave events and they said that there definitely is a scent difference in the tallow soaps because of that ingredient. It probably shouldn't be as strong as it sounds like it is though...

I've noticed a common scent among the WSP tallow soaps I have, but it's not overwhelming.  I just received a tin of Matterhorn and Barbershop yesterday, and there are no problems with my order.

Yeah, one of mine is Matterhorn, the other is Lavender. My other T soaps are fine. These are the only ones that have the overpowering tallow smell.  I tried the Matterhorn again this morning and it was a little better.  I will likely stick with the Rustic line from now on as I get great shaves with both. I have about a dozen of Lees soaps!  Thanks for all the responses.  Wasnt sure if it was just my nose!

Thats strange.  Do you still capture the actual scent of the soap, or are the soaps unscented to you, with only the tallow being detected?
