After you add them and try to buy it at checkout you get message that it is out of stock.

I had three picked out and could not get any of them.  Lost my first choice cheking out.  Hopefully the next release won't be too far off.

I really wanted a falstaff in 24 cobalt. Would have taken any 24 in falstaff and after realizing it wasn't going to happen would have taken a 24 in sumo and after realizing that wasn't going to happen tried to take any that appeared in stock with hopes of trading but that didn't happen either.

But at the end of the day, my modest Duke 3 in best will continue getting daily use.

I had a brush in my cart, went to check out, and when I clicked on "pay", was told it was out of stock. I tried a few more times, going directly to cart and then checkout (not back to shop some more), and had the same result. I saw that once you leave checkout, you lose the five-minute window of reserve.

Not at all upset, as I certainly don't need another brush Smile But, it seems something might have been amiss. Obviously, a lot of traffic in a short amount of time, so perhaps Shopify got confused or overwhelmed?

First of all, congrats to Ken and his team for a successful release.

My experience was the same as @greyhawk

I was on the site exactly at 2 CST, put 2 brushes in my cart, proceeded immediately to checkout, and was told they were sold out. I've been on the site trying to buy a brush that shows in stock, and proceeding to checkout shows sold out.

While I probably don't NEED my 7th Paladin brush, I don't know what I could have done differently to have obtained the ones I wanted.

Hmmm that was fast I came late and they are all gone, looks like I may have to try for a different brush as these are like elusive animals that I can't seem to catch.

I certainly don't rule out operator error. I could have done something wrong, although I'm not sure what.

Lots of really beautiful brushes, though--congrats to Paladin for another outstanding batch of brushes!

I don't believe any shenanigans going on. Just luck of the draw. Like trying to be the 9th caller on radio program to win something. I just didn't get it. It's okay. I'll try again at the next release. Also, I face the possibility that if I get one it won't live up to the hype created. They are beautiful, but any better than say a quality Rudy vey with a nice shavemac knot? I don't know.

I think their photo album had over 1500 views.  Makes me wonder how many people were trying to get a brush.  If you have one in your cart, and while you're trying to add another one, if the first one get sold I think it kind of screws things up.  Of the 3 times I've bought a Paladin I've always gone after one and have been lucky so far.  I've always been afraid that if I go for a second brush then I'll wind up with nothing.

Yes, let's nip this in the bud--absolutely no shenanigans implied or even thought of here. Luck of the draw.

Thanks to Ken and his constantly trying to make the 'system' work better each time.
I was able to purchase a Falstaff 28mm in disco in 2015, then a 26mm PK-47 (Lemon Drop) in early 2016, then I was UNable to get one after that, although I tried twice.

THIS time I had selected FIVE 'candidates', ALL Falstaff and narrowed it to 26/28mm. Since all 80 brushes were posted for viewing a couple of days ago, I was able to have a better idea as to available handle choices, as well as some information regarding knots (although knot diameter was NOT shown, and guessing was difficult ... and I was wrong in some cases), BUT it was enough information. Posting ALL the brushes at once worked well, at least for me.
As the brushes posted, I found my #1 choice (A Falstaff, #003, 26mm, Fan, in JADE!) added it to my cart went right to Checkout, paid for it, and got my confirmation.

Yes, IF worked for ME, it will work for you (eventually)!
As Ken has stated before, MORE Brushes WILL be available ... it just takes a while, like it did for me. Also, I had NO expectations, and just feel Blessed right now (That I was able to get my #1 Choice, as I have been seeking a Jade for a few years now).

My first choice was a Falstaff in Strawberry Amber (007). I could have sworn based upon the specs that it was going to be a 24mm brush but when everything went live it turned out to be 26mm and that threw me off quite a bit.

After that it was a mad dash to get one of my second options and I somehow managed to snag the 24mm in Butterscotch (which was actually my first pick until I started second guessing myself).

So all in all an awesome result and one very happy camper over here.
