What is the reasoning behind the 6 levels of aggressiveness being assigned to the plates as they are? One would think that 1 & 2 would be assigned to Plate A, 3 & 4 to Plate B and 5 & 6 to Plate C, rather than 1 & 3 to Plate A, 2 & 4 to Plate B and 5 & 6 to Plate C as they have chosen.

They must have a reason, but it escapes me.

I've asked the same question but never really got an explanation.

I presume that the thickness of the plate may be an issue if 1 and 2 are on the same plate. That's just me guessing though.

It's nice to know that I am not alone trying to figure out why! Whatever the reason, love the razor.

It weirded me out too, but the look of the plate would probably look a bit off? But I don't know, the last plate is 5-6.. I am a fan of this razor but I don't get it either.

I think the 2-4 plate is perfect though. Usual shave with 4th, but use the milder 2 in case another shave is needed like going out in the evening.

Maybe that's just how it worked out. One of those great mysteries of life.  Hmm

I could tell ya, but then I'd have to kill ya.

Actually, I've no clue.
