This week I finally tried a Simpsons Cream (scent was cafe latte)  that was sent to me along with a brush I ordered.  I was very impressed.  Just a tad gave me a nice thick lather that I usually have to load with soap for 30 sec or more to achieve.  Have any of you guys ever tried a Simpson Cream?  It is an excellent product, but with over 30 soaps in rotation I will not go cream crazy.

I haven't tried any of them yet but have always had my eye on them, the cafe latte in particular. What did you think of the scent?

I find the scent appealingly odd, if that makes sense.  I'm not a scent guy, but it seems clearly a coffee, creamy scent.  I like it.

I own 4 and yes, they are indeed very nice perfomring creams.

I would rate them along the lines of Truefitt & Hill and GFT performance wise.

I have tried two of them. It's a typical English cream that performs very good. I wasn't convinced to buy any of them though.

Me too. I've used the one I got with my Manchurian M7 this past February.

I'm more of a hard soap guy.

It is a great cream though. Little bit goes a long way.

Simpson creams (and Vulfix too) are great performers and highly underrated IMO.

Simpson creams are excellent performers and among the best available.  Looking at just major British brands, I find it better than the 3 T's or D.R. Harris.

I have a tub of unscented Simpsons cream. I like it, nice, solid performer.
I like their after shave balm even better, unscented and very, very good.
Unfortunately it became slightly rancid smelling after a few years...
Big recommendation nevertheless

Well, we should use up our stuff, shouldn't we?

I particularly like their Vanilla Rose cream.
Very true English Rose with very little vanilla.

Last night I tried Simpson cream. I was not prepare to received so much soap. I never used before any English shave creams and I think it will change now.
Mostly I am using soaps but if I gave a test to creams it was: Lider, Wars, Bond, La Toja, Alpa, Barbus and some of them are very good but not like Simpson. I have Citrus Burst and scent is just OK and this is only "-" that I can find everything else is superb.
In the tin it looks like it will be short journey but after just 1 shaving I know that it will last long time.

Rob

Totally agree. Cafe Latte is my favourite. Never disappoints.

The only thing that's kept me from buying a tin of this cream is the selection of scents. Maybe I should just get unscented anyway then.
I had a sample a good man sent my way and found the performance excellent.

The scents on paper sounds interesting, but in reality they all smell a bit off to my nose.......not bad per se, but slightly off.

Cafe Latte at first smelled very nice, but as I continued the shave, their was something weird in the scent, and these came from Simpson directly in 2016 spring

But performance from them is VERY nice, so I might buy a couple of the unscented versions.......

Claus, their unscented is excellent and, in my mind, the best in their line.
