The high end stuff I never buy in after shave, but in EDT/EDP/EDC concentration and rock as a perfume.

You guys that love your fragranced after shaves should start to venture into the real fragrance land.
Here we have EDC, EDT and EDP and if a fragrance lasts less than 4 hours it's considered tame and light.

100% with you on that Claus. Only worry being that it will burn holes twice much faster and deeper down in our pockets. I

Fragrance is as much an addiction as is wet shaving.

Claus, have you seen where Creed is releasing a fragrance called Viking in the near future?

Let's go the other way.  Best performing after shave regardless of scent.

My votes:  Institut Karite After Shave Balm and Alt Innsbruck Pre and After Shave Emulsion.

They perform splendidly, but I can't stand the scent of either.  Only use them when I've had a really lousy shave (which is very seldom, fortunately).

Ron,
Firstly I'm not that big of a Creed fan. Although I own 14 bottles of Creed, I don't plan to own all Creeds ever made.

Secondly I can't see it for sale anywhere. We don't have a Creed boutique and I never buy Creed at retail prices, they are not worth it to be honest. I buy my Creed samples at retail shops, then buy the full bottles at my trusted discounters like Allbeauty, Notino and FragranceX

Thirdly I'm not even sure other than the name of this Creed fragrance appeals to me. The notes sound like a mess.
Sounds like a mix of Aventus, Royal Mayfair and Erolfa. I own all these 3, and they are nice. I might buy Viking once I can actually sample it.

A couples of fragheads I trust went into two Creed boutiques in London and NY in December, and the Creed staff had no knowledge of the notes in Viking nor had they any samples available.
Typical Creed. They go to fragrance show in Cannes bringing a huge bottle of Viking, but no samples and no real juice, just a big empty Viking bottle.
Typical Creed.

I think once you get to a point where you own 1000+ fragrances (full bottles, samples and splits) which I do, it becomes more difficult to get all excited over yet another fragrance release.

I love my fragrances, I wear them daily. But all in all, it's just yet another fragrance
